Worship

The Church assembles on the Lord's Day to glorify the name of Jesus, which is above every name.

At Zion's weekly Sunday corporate worship service, we engage in a dialogue of worship: God calls us to worship through His Word; we respond in praise through song, prayer, confession, teaching, and the observance of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.

God's worshipers must worship in spirit and truth

Worship at Zion has a structure and sequence that reflects the way Scripture shows how God meets his people. Our services are designed to honor God and nourish our souls. We praise God for his character and his works, we profess our need for salvation through Christ, and we respond to God's free offer of grace with thanks and praise.

What can I expect at a Zion worship service?

Worship begins with God’s divine call from Scripture to worship Him. Then we enter into the Lord's presence with singing. You will hear both traditional hymns accompanied by the pipe organ and brass instruments, as well as modern hymns and choruses with guitar, piano, and percussion. We come to the Lord in prayer, confess our sins to Him, hear His promise of forgiveness, and hear His Word preached. We partake of the Lord’s Supper weekly, trusting in the nourishment promised by Christ.
